Cookware Manufacturers Association
The Cookware Manufacturers Association (CMA) is a not-for-profit trade association owned by its membership: manufacturers of cookware, bakeware and kitchenware with operations and headquarters in the United States. We’ve been around since the 1920’s, promoting our members and developing engineering standards for the industry. Our blog is the place to learn about the latest advances in manufacturing, retailing, distribution, and materials.

Executive Vice President Penny Rosema
As the primary link between CMA members, their board, and the public, Penny Rosema has her finger on the pulse of the industry. Her unique background of engineering know-how, international business savvy, and extensive experience in cookware procurement makes Penny a highly knowledgeable spokesperson for the Association.

Penny has over 30 years of consumer product manufacturing experience including product development, product cost engineering, and procurement. After earning her MBA from Notre Dame she worked with suppliers in the U.S., Japan, South Korea, China, Thailand, and Europe.

As spokesperson for the CMA, Penny welcomes inquiries and comments from members, the press, and the public.

I would like to make your members aware of my patent that just issued regarding a popcorn popper design. Do you have any suggestions about how to give awareness of this new design to potential manufacturers? Thank you for your time.

Thanks for your inquiry regarding a new product idea that you are interested in promoting.

New product development is a highly sensitive and competitive area. Because the CMA must serve the entire industry, we cannot interpose ourselves with specific recommendations or provide counsel to new product inventors, licensees or potential manufacturers. To do so might favor one of our members over another.

Our recommendation is this Membership link on the Cookware Manufacturers Association Website. Contact information for our membership is found there. Contact firms directly and ask to speak to someone in connection with new product development. Some CMA members do toll manufacturing; some license and produce; some do neither.
